The FAQ

How will i know if studio/venue fees apply?

If you decide you would like your photoshoot at a natural light studio, you will be responsible for the studio's rental fee. I will help you find the studio that's right for you in terms of aesthetics, location, and budget! Sometimes, outdoor locations have photoshoot fees (ex. flower farms or festivals, Thanksgiving Point, La Caille, etc). If the location you choose has a photography fee, you will be responsible for that charge. Additionally, entrance fees into any state or national parks will be added onto my session fee.

How long have you been doing this?

I've been messing around with a camera since elementary school! Even into my freshman year of college, I would often ask friends if they'd like to model for me. I started doing photography professionally in 2021 and have loved every minute of it!

How many photos do we get?

I will often give the clients any photo that turned out, minus duplicates. Rest assured that you will walk away with lots of photos that are unique, high quality, and true to your experience.

How do we get our photos?

Your gallery will be sent to the email you booked your session with. Digital copies are easy to lose, so I recommend backing your gallery up to an external flash drive or hard drive for safekeeping and organization.

Do you retouch photos?

Retouching is lightly done on photos to remove prominent stray hairs, acne, cuts, or other blemishes. If the editing becomes extensive, an extra charge may be incurred if the client wishes the retouches to continue. I do not offer airbrushing.

Whats your turn around time?

I have a turn around time of 1-2 weeks depending on the time of year.

Do you send raw files?

This is a hot topic in the photography industry. Most people will not be able to open or process RAW files properly on their devices due to the sheer size of each file. I don't give out unedited photos; I pride myself on the integrity and consistency of my art, and the editing process is a MAJOR aspect of that. I expect that the clients who book with me are choosing me for my style and coloring. Unedited photos are an unfinished product, and delivering an unfinished product damages the reputation and look of my brand. That being said, I want my clients to be happy with their photos; if you are displeased with the coloring or exposure of an image or gallery, please reach out to me within 2 weeks of receiving your gallery. I will work with you, within reason, to make sure we get you the beautiful photos that you were envisioning.

What is your reschedule or cancel policy?

To book a session with me, a $50 deposit must be taken. This holds your spot for that day and time. If you need to reschedule with me, there will be no fee. If you cancel your session with me without rescheduling, your deposit will not be refunded, as it is there as a security for reserving my time and calendar slot. Clients will have up to 6 months to take their session from their original date, otherwise, they forfeit that deposit and must make a new one to book again. To reschedule or cancel your session, please reach out to me directly.

Will you use my photos for marketing?

As the photographer, the copyright of each photo belongs to me. This means that it is within my rights to use these photos for promotional, social, or marketing purposes as needed. I rely on the photos that I take to advertise my style and product, and it hurts me as a businessowner to not be able to share any images from the session. Within this changing digital landscape, I understand that some families are hesitant their children's faces online. Before your session, I ask that you communicate your concerns to me. If the client feels comfortable, I will grab multiple photos that keep the faces of the children anonymous that I could use for my social profiles.

When is payment due?

You have the option to pay for your session in full at the time of booking, or you can pay the deposit when you book followed by another payment before the time of your session. Payments must be made in full 24 hours before your session. Galleries will not be delivered until payment is made in full.

What should we wear?

Please wear whatever you feel the most confident and beautiful in! Everyone's style is different. If you are trying to go for a certain look, and need my advice to help you attain that, please reach out! Neutrals are always safe and beautifully minimalistic. There are many free style guides, blog posts, and pins on Pinterest that have fabulous ideas for coordinating family outfits. Avoid very bright colors or unflattering pattern mixes.
